My work as a producer began at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where I self-produced my directing work. Since then, I have developed a broad producing practice spanning new writing, artist development, creative projects, and with national-scale organisations.
I am currently Assistant Producer (Artistic Development) at the National Theatre of Scotland, supporting the development of new work for the stage. In this role, I collaborate with artists and creative teams at all stages of the process, helping to shape projects from initial idea through to production.
Previously, I was Projects Producer at Playwrights’ Studio, Scotland, where I led and facilitated programmes supporting playwrights at every stage of their careers - from early development opportunities to international exchange and professional development. Alongside this, I continue to work as a freelance producer, collaborating with individual artists and companies to deliver productions, development projects, and events.
As part of my MA in Arts, Festival and Cultural Management, I studied creative leadership, governance, fundraising, finance, and evaluation. My dissertation project focuses on the role of arts management in the development of new work for the stage, with original research into how producers can best support the creation of theatre in Scotland.
I have produced a wide range of projects including:
Creative development processes for new plays and devised work
Fundraising and performance events
Online events and digital engagement projects
Theatre productions across both traditional and non-traditional spaces
